Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to cruise to Puerto Vallarta?
October to April, when the Pacific is calm and Vallarta is dry and warm. If you want humpback whales, sail between mid-December and the end of March — February is the best single month. Summer sailings are cheaper but bring humidity and the rainy season.
How far in advance should I book a tour?
For port days in high season, two to four weeks — the short-duration tours on busy three-ship days fill first. Whale watching in February and private charters at Christmas and New Year should be booked six weeks out. Outside those peaks a few days is usually enough.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure on all instantly-booked tours, refunded to the original payment method. If we cancel for weather or sea conditions you are refunded in full, no exceptions. Private charters and permit-based tours have their own terms, stated before you pay.
